ITP: RAINSPAM -- now with pictures!
Aug. 20th, 2008 11:33 amTo give you an idea of just how much rain we've been getting, here is a picture taken from my backyard this past May. Yes, I know it's of Sydney's butt. The point is, look at the level of the canal.
Now. I just opened the back door a crack and took these with my phone.

WHAT THE HELL, FAY. STOPPIT ALREADY. >|

This morning's horoscope, which I did not see until just now:
"You've been stuck in this rut long enough. Try something different."
A-ahahahaha. TELL ME ABOUT IT.
See, the rain itself wouldn't bother me (okay, the copious amounts of it are kind of a pain in the ass, and water is now sneaking in through the back door, and the canal level is getting so high that it might reach street level, which I have never seen happen in all the years I've lived in this area). The fact that I do not know when the rain will STOP? That bothers me. Also the humidity feels as if it's permeated the house, and everything inside feels very... humid. Damp. Yucky.
And I'm starting to go a little stir-crazy here.

Aug. 20th, 2008 05:13 pmWell... at least Florida's drought is probably effectively over?

I actually would not mind having some sandbags for the back of the house. Sadly, most of the streets are too flooded for us to drive our car through (comfortably, at least), and there've been no notices telling us where we can GET sandbags in our area. I know where to go in Orlando, Ocala, Mims, and Daytona Beach for sandbags, though. Real helpful. >(
