First of all, you're adorable. I actually do remember our first thread, back when you played Zia, I think was the character's name. I remember thinking "OH MY GOD WHAT" a lot, and thinking that I absolutely HAD to talk to you more.

I love that you ... this is going to sound so silly, but I love that you can be tactless, and that you preface it with, "I'm going to be tactless now." Because, really? I respect and admire that. Because it's not so much tactlessness as it is just plain ol' honesty. ♥

I love you for yelling at me to start reading Dorothy Sayers. I love you for yelling at me to read Neverwhere. I love you for squeeing with me over the Hatori/Mayu ship, which I still love. But most of all, I love you for your level-headedness and your practicality. You have this wonderful, solid... groundedness about you, and when I feel like I'm spinning out of control, you cut through all the spazziness and remind me to breathe.

I love and admire how passionate you are about animals. ALL animals, great and small. I never would have even KNOWN what was going on with those animal activists at the SF zoo if not for you, and it was something that, even over miles and miles, and through the internet, your passion shone through, and for just a moment, that passion, the depth of that feeling, seemed almost tangible, and you really, truly shared a part of yourself and the level of your devotedness to animals.

First and foremost, I love you for your rapier wit. You have a way of looking at things that simply tickles me, particularly when you're pissed off, which is great for me, bad for your blood pressure. I love that you're exceptionally intelligent, but aren't stuffy or pretentious about it -- but WILL zing someone to hell and back if they insult that intelligence.

I also love you for your mad beta skillz, yo. ♥

You. You. I kinda love you, okay? You are like... Xanax for my soul -- no matter how wound up I am about something, no matter how RAAAR I am, there is something about you that I find inordinately calming and soothing, and I find myself just wanting to curl up in your lap for hairpets. I love that you have such a way with words -- ficcing with you always pushes me to try harder, to achieve that ... fluidity you have with language.

I, too, miss that we don't talk as much, and particularly don't want to take that friendship for granted, so while, yes, I am doing other RL things, please don't ever hesitate to drop me a line, ever. ♥
