Disgustingly, the original plea bargain was for time served in the psychiatric facility, which came out, I believe, to just over forty days. The judge was thinking about actually sending him to prison and then having him deported, and that's when he fled. I'm not sure what the maximum sentence would have been, but it's safe to say he would have been out a looooong time ago.
