...i'm old. ;_;

I just totally pulled a "GET OFF MY DAMN LAWN."

About six or eight neighborhood kids were playing on and around the dock in our backyard.  Lots of screaming, lots of generally being little asshats.

The dogs? Going ballistic.

Me?  TIRED OF THE DOGS OF THE DOGS GOING BALLISTIC.  So I peeked out back and saw the above scene.

Me: "OH, HELL NO."

So I went out back.  "Excuse me!  Is this yours? Any of it?"

"....no."

"Then what are you doing? GO PLAY IN YOUR OWN  YARD."

Then one girl pipes up with, "Well, my uncle said..."

"I. Don't. Care.  Did he ask me?  No."

I totally "get off my damned lawn"d them.

Children are nasty little creatures anyway - they carry all kinds of diseases, you know! ;P

Tell me about it! Yuck. Cooties.

Though to be serious, I actively avoid contact with children nowadays. I never know which of the little walking Petrie dishes have had their shots, and which might carry whooping cough or something else that could kill me. Thanks, Jenny McCarthy! *eyeroll*

...Do I even WANT to know what she did? (And am I the only one who longs for the days when celebrities were just celebrities?)

I believe she's the one who's been spearheading the campaign that vaccinations were the cause of her son's autism. So now there's a great hue and cry about Vaccinations Are The Evilest Evil in all Evildom. Or some such. :\

Oh, she's the celebrity face of the anti-vaccine movement. It's both hilarious and tragic.

At first she believed that her son was an "Indigo child" (whut), then got a misdiagnosis of autism, which led to her little antivax crusade. It's now thought that her son actually had Landau-Kleffner syndrome, because he no longer shows signs of autism.

Unfortunately, her standing jump to the wrong conclusion has convinced thousands of American parents not to vaccinate their kids for fear of autism. As a result, thousands of kids are getting preventable disease and hundreds are dying.
