I cannot even make this up.

A suspicious package was discovered at the Cocoa Beach Social Security office today.  The county sheriff's department was called in, as well as the bomb squad.  You know, like you do when dealing with suspicious packages.

...

The package?

Contained kittens.

Kittens don't have the allergy-causing enzyme in their dander, even the most cat-allergic person can play with kittens. Now if there'd been two full-grown longhairs in there, I'd say you have a point.

Hmm, I did not know that! Now I just need someone who will let me borrow their kitten until it tries to murder my nose :D

The catch is, they have to be old enough and/or separated from the parent long enough to have been washing themselves. The allergic substance is from adult cat saliva.

At least, that's what I've always heard and it's borne out in my experience. I can be around kittens and some low-dander ragdoll breed cats all day, but the other 90% of cats in the world? Not so much.
