Sometimes I wish I lived somewhere where the weather wasn't quite as extreme. I've had enough weather-related drama to last me for a few lifetimes.
One of the kittens, Kisa, was completely terrified. Bronte did much better -- she sprawled out behind the couch and slept most of the time. This was after she got over her immense fear of our friends' Jack Russell terrier, of course. Kisa continued to avoid the dog, who really was just curious that there were cats that came in such a small size. (Said friends have a ginormous black cat named Sam. He's bigger than the terrier. Bronte looks like a miniature Sam, so it was amusing when she hissed at him. He wasn't fazed in the least bit.)
And, yes, hurricane season lasts for a bit longer. November 30th is the official end date. *sigh* Another month to go. I sincerely hope we don't break any more records.
