Unanswerable questions

Why do students suddenly care about their grade A WEEK before the semester's over?

Here's a clue: If you haven't done jack shit for work, your grade probably isn't going to be very high. Telling me you need this class to graduate isn't going to do a whole lot to thaw out the chunk of black ice that resides in my heart. You should've thought of that earlier.

Honestly.

In other news, teh boi went to a bachelor party last night, and... I'm confused.

Okay, so they went to a strip club. And I'm okay with that -- I am. I don't care if he goes to strip clubs. I'm not one of those insecure freakazoids who are all "OMGIFORBIDYOU!" over that sort of thing. George loves me. He's coming home to me. Why should I care if he looks at a naked woman whose vocational path has led her to swing on a pole for money? I've gone to strip clubs.

*waits for the shock to settle in*

Yes, really. The places were kind of skanky, but I was with a big group of people, and, frankly, there was nowhere else to go (the woes of living in a backwater 'burb). *shrug* It was fun, actually. Those women don't have anything I don't have. Okay, theirs might be surgically enhanced, but that's beside the point. I'm not insecure. I'm not jealous. I'm just not.

So, when he came home (at 2:00 am, mind you), I was more concerned with the fact that he stunk of alcohol (he swore to me that he'd had time enough to sober up, stopped drinking at 11, had plenty to eat in the meantime, etc.). And when I asked him if he'd had a lap dance, he wrinkled his nose and said he hadn't.

Apparently he was the only guy who didn't.

"They're women who crawl around the floor for dollar bills, Kara," he'd said.

Why is this logic lost on me? I mean, when in Rome, do as the Romans do, right? He's not lying -- I know he isn't. Because he knows that I wouldn't really care if he'd HAD a lap-dance. If these women choose to objectify themselves, who am I to disagree? I don't know -- maybe I'm looking at it from an economic standpoint. Supply and demand, that sort of thing.

But still... he bought a lap-dance for his friend, but didn't get one himself?

I don't get it. Is there something wrong with his Y chromosome?

Mind you, I"m not complaining that my boi seems to have stronger moral character than most. But it does perplex me.

I'd agree pretty much with what White Death said.

A lot of guys I know don't mind looking, but sometimes, the touching is just too much.

And I've been to a couple of strip clubs as well. It was kind of fun. I even put the dollars where they belongs on the girls. I think my boyfriend at the time got almost as big a kick out of it as I did.
