At one point Darwin had come to me (when I'd called) and Sydney was still off frolicking (and getting ever nearer to a bend in the dirt road leading AWAY from the agility facility), and he was looking at me and then Syd, and then back to me like, "I don't even know, Mom."
Seriously, dude. In every dog book I own, there is a section on what to do if your dog isn't coming when you call. And I was doing ALL OF IT. Finally, she got to a shady patch of grass (soooo close to the aforementioned bend in the road), and flopped.
