I cannot even make this up.

A suspicious package was discovered at the Cocoa Beach Social Security office today.  The county sheriff's department was called in, as well as the bomb squad.  You know, like you do when dealing with suspicious packages.

...

The package?

Contained kittens.

Awwwwwwwwww! Poor kitties. I hope they find/found the other little guy. Guess that just goes to show -- Want your abandoned kitties taken care of, leave them in a suspicious box in front of a public building.

Hey now, my dog will be the first one to tell you that kittens are very, I repeat: VERY, dangerous. Each tiny kitten might look like a bundle of cuteness wrapped in soft, fluffy fur and their little "mew" may pluck at your heartstrings, but beware what lies beneath that adorable package. Each kitten possesses TWENTY spiked, sharp barbs of pain - five on each paw! Their eyes are able to focus on dog noses with razor precision, allowing their weapons of doom to zero-in for MAXIMUM DAMAGE. And the worst yet? They are masters of disguise, with the ability to lurk in the shadows, under the bed, or behind the couch and pounce at a moment's notice on their poor, feeble victims.

Rugby knows all this first-hand and begged me to spread the word about the dangers of kittens.

:)

Eight weeks old and already striking terror into the hearts of local government. (sniff!) They grow up so fast.

Thankfully the bomb squad didn't take the "blow it up just in case" approach.
