A meme, and Niamh's consumer griping

Dear Barnes & Noble,

I hate you and your substandard manga section.

Love and kisses,
Niamh

PS: Your Tazo passionflower tea? Naaaaaasty.

Dear Anime Pavillion,

I hate you and your geektastic staff of unwashed fanboys who still seem to ignore those of us with breasts. Please hire more females, or men who know how to deal with three-dimensional women. We don't like standing at the counter, money in hand, waiting for the gang playing D&D at the back of the store to notice that we have something we'd like to buy. If this is your way of letting us know that shoplifting is acceptable, you should put up a sign.

Also, your store smells funny. Like someone's been smoking pot and trying to cover it up with incense.

Love and kisses,
Niamh

Bleh. Booksellers of America have decided to conspire against me. No luck on finding FB #8.

1. *puts stick of deodorant on Niamh's desk*

2. You are one of my favorite people ever.

3. The bitter almond smell of cyanide is not detectable by everyone.

4. I dreamt you while I slept and love
Meant more to me than life -- meant more than blood.
The sunlight sought me deep beneath my stone
More dead than any corpse, but still a dream
Until I woke as vapour into night
And sunset forced me out into the world.

5. Some boys kiss me
Some boys hug me
I think they're okay
If they don't give me proper credit
I just walk away
They can beg and plead but they can't see the light
'Cause the boy with the cold hard cash is always Mr Right

6. As old as my tongue and a little older than my teeth.

7. In which life?

8. Oh, like you don't know already.

Aw, shucks. :)

The love note is from "Vampire Sestina" by Neil Gaiman, in case you're wondering. I wonder if it feels very odd to be next to "Material Girl."
