When did this happen?

So, uh.  Some people might know that my baaaaaaaaaaaaby cousin is getting married in October.  (Okay, so she's not really a baaaaaby. She's six years younger than I am.  BUT SHE WILL ALWAYS BE MY BABY COUSIN, so there.)

Anyway, I'm in the bridal party!  And the bridal party were given a number of dress styles to pick from, in a specific color ("Harvest Gold").  I chose a really pretty strapless A-line dress.  I had my measurements taken at a dress shop down here, and sent those measurements to my cousin, who ordered the dress from her shop.

The dress arrived today!  Huzzah!  It's pretty!  Double huzzah!

It. Fell off.

It.  The dress.  It.  It's.  It's too big.  Like, "I must have lost two inches in three months" too big.

WTF.

Hurray for unexpected weight loss!

The one time I ordered an honest to god bridesmaid's dress, the shop who took the measurements were nowhere near correct in the tailoring. I had to bring it to a local shop to get it re-tailored so that the bodice came anywhere close to fitting. I firmly believe that bridalwear shops are incompetent and have no idea how they keep marching inexorably onward.

Did you pay them for the measurements? If you didn't, it's possible they deliberately mis-measured so you'd have to bring the dress to them for alterations, them being close by and all. Of course, that's possible if you did pay too, but the spitefulness factor involved is a bit different.

My mom does sewing and alterations from home and has outfitted wedding parties and corrected many a "professional" oops in the past. Mistakes and deliberate foul ups happen quite frequently.

But you've said you've been being more active and eating better, right? People do tend to get smaller when that happens. ;)

*waves hi again* :D I've been retardedly absent!

Anyway, my baby cousin also got married 2 weeks ago...she's 9 years younger than me.

It's good, but it also makes me feel old and like I wanna throw a pity party. I feel like a loser at my unmarried-33. XD

Possibility #1: the tailor is a spaz.

Possibility #2: you've lost some weight in a good way.

Two it is! LET THE DANCING COMMENCE!!
