There was absolutely no explaining it. A fortnight earlier, it had been a near-mint condition 1901 issue of Strand magazine, complete with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's second installment of the highly overrated (but delightfully collectable) Hound of the Baskervilles. Aziraphale flipped through the aged pulp, noting for the first time what great unease a person could feel upon not seeing mediocre illustrations and inhaling ten decades of dust mites.
Never had Freddy Mercury's autobiography so caused a man's hands to shake ...at least not outside San Francisco.
