I think that's what pissed me off the most about the movie. Because I couldn't tell what was a nod to the game, and what was a sharp left turn out of the game. I got that evil-girl-child (she had a name? Heather?) was the manifestation of Alessa's dark side, but I was fuzzy on where Sharon came from. For a while, because of the emphasis on dates, I thought maybe Sharon was Alessa's reincarnation. So that whole thing could've stood to be clearer in the movie, I think.

I too wanted to see Cybil kick the crap out of those malnourished miners. She was going to TOWN with her asp, and then she just LET them take her down? WTF? I mean, if you're gonna go out, go out fighting!

And when Rose was in the Girls Bathroom from HELL, (a) how the fuck did she know to take ANYTHING out of Dead Janitor's mouth, (b) what did she TAKE out of Dead Janitor's Mouth, and (c) WTF was up with the guys with the canary banging on the door? Were they the miners from the church? Ghosts? I keep thinking maybe they weren't, you know, BAD, since they hauled out of there after the crazy evil shitstorm started.

And it would've been nice if they'd made the alternate reality explanation (when it came) a little less vague.

Vague. That's the whole problem I had with the movie.

However, a lot of the efects were awesome (though I think Burninated Alessa looked kind of fake and pathetic, and the barbed-wire tentacle rape had me laughing and cringing at the same time). The nurses made me laugh, but they WERE creepy. Some of the creepier bits felt kind of like a Marilyn Manson video, actually. And I don't know what that says.
