I'd been using another program called CopyWrite when I stumbled across Scrivener in its initial incarnation called Scrivener Gold. I really liked it and started using the betas of the main program when they began coming out and I absolutely adore it. For all of my non one-shot work, I use that program. I have it installed in two places, on the laptop and my main computer at work. It's been nothing but a joy to use and I absolutely love it. It's the best writing software I've ever came across and definitely a bargain considering that some writing programs are more than $100.
