Eyesight woes
Apr. 13th, 2005 05:37 pmRight, so I had an optometrist appointment this afternoon. (I am, in fact, typing this with big, gooby, dilated eyes, and can't see shit, so forgive any typos. I have the brightness on the screen turned to "tolerable" but it's only less than "OMFGBRIGHT.")
I knew my left eye was getting worse. It used to be that my left eye was almost normal, and my right eye was REALLY bad. Like, I had 20/30 vision in the left eye and something like 20/200 in the right.
Yeah. Now the left eye is almost as bad as the right. The doc was shocked that my vision had deteriorated that fast. And then I got scolded becase it had been two and a half years since my last appointment, and I"m like, "No vision insurance, yo."
So I got a set of trail con... wait, did I type "trail" or "trial"? I dunno. Anyway. I got a set of contacts to wear home, and aside from the dilation, which makes things icky and blurry and "ow! too bright!", I can see like a champ.
I'm sure everyone on Florida's roadways just exhaled a collective sigh of relief.
Now to decide what kind of smexy new frames I want for my new glasses prescription. *wiggle*
