The squee heard 'round the world!
Sep. 15th, 2005 02:55 pmOkay, so... I was in kind of a cruddy mood last night. Some shirts I'd ordered for teh boi arrived, and despite that they were the exact same size and style of the shirts hanging up in his closet, the new ones didn't fit. And I don't know why. There's no reason they shouldn't have fit. So I have to pack them back up and ship them back, which is a pain in the neck I don't really feel like contending with. Also, for reasons unknown to me, the last two fingers on my right hand have been bothering me... a lot. I don't know if it's Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or arthritis, but since I already have the beginning twinges of arthritis in my knees, and my right index finger, I'm putting my money on that. It only hurts when I... type, after all. *sigh* It's the right-hand stretch for the shift key, or the enter key that hurts. And it's the joint right at the knuckle, which makes me think it's arthritis. And both my mom and grandmother were early arthritis sufferers, and at 30, my mom says she wouldn't be surprised if I started showing signs soon. Lovely. Bleh.
BUT! Today is a new day. And a good day.
It started off with a lovely chat with
moonphased this morning and a LOT of laughter. And, really, when you start your day off laughing, it's bound to go well.
I also worked out, but that's neither here nor there. I was swearing at that digitally rendered bitch today. But I did the workout, and I feel good right now, so... yeah. I guess that goes into the "Yay!" tally for today.
When I got out of the shower, I saw that my Year of teh Bunneh Tetsubin arrived today! I'm very bouncy and happy and excited about this, and I'm soon going to be making a nice little pot of Golden Dragon Oolong...
to celebrate....
....
Wait for it...
Having a 3:15 appointment on September 30 with Mark Tavani of Random House/Ballantine, and a 3:45 appointment (on the same day) with Joe Veltre of the Artists Literary Group.
....
Yes, really.
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
This gives me... *counts days* ...just over two weeks to get a nice concise summary written for my 3 chapters of Universal Truths. I'd like to also polish up the chapters, and maybe get a few more pages written. I can write quickly when I'm properly inspired, and I think this is the sort of thing to inspire me. I'd also like to get something... remotely professional-looking to wear (but also comfortable, because it's a long drive from here to there).
Okay. Deep breath in. Out. Breathe. Woo.
So, anyone on
original_niamh who's read what I've posted so far? Now would be a verrrrry good time for y'all to hurl critiques at me. ;)
Now I think I'm going to do a little laundry and make some tea and... revel. And possibly frolic.
