Having an... odd morning. Nothing in particular, just feeling... odd. Disconnected, I suppose. I started working out again yesterday after having not done so for the better part of three months. (We went away to Amelia Island, and then after we came back I wasn't feeling well, then a few other things happened, and all of a sudden it's three months later.) So I'm sore. Very sore. My arms and legs are like, "OH MY GOD WHAT DID WE EVER DO TO YOU?" Soooo, I reckon I'll save my next torture session workout for tomorrow. Though there's a yoga program on the disc called "meditation garden" that I might run. Dunno yet. I also want to do some cleaning. It's a thing with me -- I like to start the new year off with organization. Even if I can't maintain it.

I spent a good chunk of yesterday reading this book, and it -- once again -- made me long for academia. Also, and this hasn't happened since I was in grad school, I got an idea for a paper/article. I was kind of surprised when it came to me, but pleasantly surprised nonetheless.

I don't think I'm done with PhD programs yet. I don't know. At the risk of sounding superstitious, I think 2006 might be a better year for me to try. Of course I'd have to re-take both the GRE and the GRE Lit exam, which... ick. So I don't know. I guess we'll see what happens.
