Oh. My. God. Kill me now. Please.
We went to see our friends R and C again yesterday, and brought Darwin along to play in the pool. It's a non-chlorine pool, and they're dog lovers, so it's all good.
We had fun.
Perhaps too much fun.
Said fun existed in the forms of 1 frozen mudslide, 1 mudslide on the rocks, 1 frozen margarita, and two shots of vanilla vodka (for the record, Stolichnaya's vanilla vodka is a better shot than Smirnoff's vanilla vodka -- burns less on the way down and has a pleasant taste).
It was probably more alcohol than I've consumed in a long while. My tolerance is really low -- I'm not a big drinker, and neither is Tora-kun (anymore) or R or C (who especially isn't after nine months of pregnancy).
I'm hungover. And now I'm remembering why I'm not a big drinker. Lord. And my 21 year-old cousin is coming down for the wedding. I am not even going to try and keep up with her. Jebus, I feel awful.
...
Ah, yes. There was also a shot of Goldschlager. Which, in case you're interested, tastes like Red Hots.
And this morning, Darwin woke me up at 7:30 to go potty. *cry* The good thing, at least, is that he spent so much time running around and swimming (we were there from four until twelve -- and this was after we'd decided we weren't going to stay long, just until eight or nine, but then there was time needed for Tora-kun to sober up, you see, for the drive home) that he's a very tired puppy today. (We also learned that if I hid under water, he jumped in after me, which was amusing in its own right.)
I may go back to bed for a bit. Further bulletins as events warrant.
...
PS: Did you know that Starbucks made a coffee liqueur? We put it in the frozen mudslides. OMG it's so good.
