Thirteen hours later...
Jul. 29th, 2006 10:26 amRight. So after my last post, I decided I'd take a little nap on the couch. At about eight o'clock.
Four hours later (during which time Tora woke me twice for snoring) I hauled myself to bed (stopping only to give Bronte her pills), and slept until nine.
Guess I might have been a little tired, eh?
The scary thing is, I could go back to bed NOW and sleep -- I'm sure of this. But instead of feeling rested, I'd feel groggy and lethargic. I feel kind of groggy and lethargic now and I've been up for an hour. Don't know what's on tap for today -- we have some Netflix movies waiting to be watched (Chicken Little, Steamboy, and a Firefly disc), and... well, that's about it, I think. I may make pancakes. Or omelettes. Hmm. This wants thinking...
Oh, and after just three days of medication, Bronte is already showing a lot of improvement. Her appetite is back (one of her meds stimulates her appetite, so that's no surprise), and she's just... she's acting more like herself. She's a lot more talkative ("Are you being a good girl?" "Mew!" "Oh, really?" "Mew!" "You don't say." "Mew!" "Kisa did what?" "Mew!" and so on), and she's wandering out of her sick-room occasionally. Last night, while I was napping on the couch, she curled up on my stomach and went to sleep. Of course, this must have been after I yelled at her for walking across me (waking me up in the process), laying down, getting up, walking around some more, laying down again, getting up, etc.
Anyway, she's doing better. I can't tell you the last time she napped on me. It's been a while, definitely. She's also stopped her insane shedding. She's still pretty thin, but I don't doubt that'll improve soon, too. So, yay! Kisa's still hissing at her, but Bronte mostly gives her a withering gaze -- the kind only a green-eyed black cat can give -- that basically screams, "STFU, bitch. I can still kick your ass."
