*relieved thud*

I am officially gainfully employed.  And I'll be teaching again, sort of -- on a smaller scale, which is fine by me.

a long week...

I'm going to call the vet's office tomorrow morning and get Bronte in to see... any doctor, really.  I don't care who.  In 24 hours, she's had another downturn, and while she does have an appointment on Monday, I... have my doubts as to whether she'd make it to Monday.

Every time I think I'm done crying, I look at her and want to start all over again.  I had to pill her tonight, and it broke my heart to do.  She fought me, but instead of it being encouraging, it just hurt to watch.  She was breathing so hard by the time we were done that I started to wish I hadn't pilled her at all.

So help me, if we're able to get her on the FeLV meds, and she starts to show improvement (for however long), I swear to everything that's holy that I will not scold her for splashing water out of her dish, sleeping behind the TV, getting up on Tora's desk, or any of the scads of other things she used to do when she was feeling better.

My heart hurts.
