Aug. 14th, 2008 04:01 pmI really love that... vaguely exhausted feeling you get after a really productive day. I actually feel like I accomplished something, and that's pretty awesome. Today it was yard work. My arms and legs are pleasantly sore, I managed to avoid getting a sunburn, and I just feel... right.
I've been feeling incredibly off for a while, and I think a lot of it may be partly due to diet -- I tend to skip meals, or grab something snacky instead of having a proper lunch, and for whatever reason as of late, I've been taking absolute crap care of myself as far as eating regularly goes. So when I go shopping tomorrow, I'm going to make sure I have options -- GOOD options for myself for breakfast and lunch so I stop skipping meals and generally fucking myself up. I usually place all my focus on having good, healthy options for dinner, that I forget there are other meals in the day.
Tomorrow I pick up a set of weave poles I ordered, which I'm really excited about. I'm thinking about teaching Sydney how to go through them as well, since it can't hurt to give her a little extra something to learn.
I'm also giving serious thought to taking up horseback riding again. I loved it while I did it, and then had to stop -- I'm just thinking about it right now, and don't know if we could afford it, but with a little creative budgeting, it might be a possbility. I also have riding boots in my closet that I love AND THEY MOCK ME EVERY TIME I OPEN MY CLOSET. ...I also should look into a knee brace, if I'm serious about doing this. Hrmm. This wants thought...
