Our Wii has Wii-turned!

The Wii came back from Nintendofixitland last night, and we recreated our Miis and got stuff set up. TODAY I decided I would set up my Wii Fit profile and yet some workout time logged.
I also brushed the dogs to within an inch of their lives and took them swimming for about an hour, and they're now passed out... somewhere around the house. ALWAYS a good thing.

Been very busy doing... stuff and things, and sometimes I don't quite know how my day passes so quickly, only that it DOES.

But it was a day that started out with yoga and strength training and doggy pool-time, and so it is a good day. :D

Unexpected news

I started this post out writing a happy little note about how I can actually hold a pen and write without pain for the first time in... I'm not really sure how long. And about how nice it is to be able to do so. Really, it's such a simple thing, and it's made me so incredibly happy today -- I've been writing myself little notes all day.

And then Mom came over. She took Gramps for a cyscopsopy today, and apparently he has bladder cancer. It's in the early stages, and he's going in for a procedure to remove the mass ASAP.

And now being giddy and happy about being able to write feels... kind of silly and frivolous.

I'm dealing... pretty well, all things considered. Better than the last time he was diagnosed. (What the HELL, Grampa? First a sarcoma on the arm, then leukemia, and now bladder cancer. PLZ TO STOP WITH THE CANCEROUS CELL-GROWING, KTHX.)

So, yeah. Good thoughts, prayers, whatever your personal preference happens to be -- would be greatly appreciated. ♥
