I LOVE YOU, SHANDS HOSPITAL!

Okay. So Mom and Gramps had an appointment in Gainesville at Shands Hospital.
I may be forced to recant everything bad I ever said about the University of Florida.
The oncologist up there thinks that amputation is waaay premature at this point. He also thinks it's very likely that Grampa's radiation oncologist down here wasn't quite getting the right "spot" he needed to get with the radiation equipment he has. Shands has all state of the art goodies, and the oncologist there recommends putting Gramps on radiation twice a day (instead of just once), treating the top of the arm and then the bottom of the arm. This will last for approximately four weeks.
This is very good news, if you haven't gathered. My grandfather's spirits are just... *shakes head* Mom was telling me tonight that the man she drove up to Gainesville with was quiet, nervous, and fidgety. The man she drove home with was high-fiving her.
The only problem is that Gainesville is a good three hours away, so they'll have to stay in the lodging up there, reserved for out of town patients. They'd spend the week in Gainesville, and come home on the weekends. This is kind of a drag, but if it means getting over this? Hell. I'll do whatever I have to do to help out over there.
SQUEE!
I am now very, very tired, after a holiday weekend full of late nights, and after having a stupid cricket chirping in our bathroom all of last night. So I am going to go to bed, and have very happy, bouncy dreams. YAY!
