I imagine people will get tired of the puppysquee before too long.
But until that happens...
Look at that FACE!

I can't get over how tiny he is... *coos at the little puppy belly*

Went to Jo-Ann Fabrics today and found tins, just like
dqbunny said I would. Very happy with what I found, too.
Bleh. It was an early morning and a busy day. I foresee a nap in my future.

Date: 2005-12-10 03:06 am (UTC)So cute! I've been too busy to look through LJ lately, and had to back-read some of your earlier posts first. SO CUTE!
And for some reason, I'm brought to mind of the Artful Dodger. Hmm... must be that eye-patch. ^_~

Date: 2005-12-10 03:23 pm (UTC)What is it about baby animals that will reduce a collection of intelligent women to squees and giggles?

Date: 2005-12-10 09:56 pm (UTC)You know? I think "Darwin" and "Dodger" both seem to fit him. ^^ "Dodger" also brings to mind Dodger the dog from Disney's Oliver & Company.

Date: 2005-12-10 03:32 pm (UTC)We're both pretty certain the cats will be all right with this. We've brought over our friends Jack Russell terrier quite a few times (we've watched her while they go away), and my mother has a Cairn terrier who also comes over quite a bit. Both are very high-energy dogs, and by this point, the cats aren't overly impressed with Marley OR Zoe. According to the breeder, Aussies will (and do) live with cats (she has three barn cats). When puppies are brought up around cats, they just sort of acknowledge that the cats are a part of the family "pack," so to speak.
That said, I do think that Kisa's nose will be a bit out of joint, as she's the more sensitive of the two. If either cat will get jealous, it's going to be her.
It's a tiny juggernaut of cute...
Date: 2005-12-12 10:00 am (UTC)Dogs rule. I like them at that age, I like them when they're open-eyed and boundy and fluffy, I like them when they're grown, I like them when they're old, even when they smell a bit and dribble. Dogs are the best. My sister and I were discussing the other day the fact that we have no other ambitions in life than to be in a place where we can own our own dogs.
What breed is he?
Re: It's a tiny juggernaut of cute...
Date: 2005-12-12 02:48 pm (UTC)I'm thinking about possibly taking a day trip up there BEFORE February, so I can take some pictures and hold that warm, wriggly little bundle of furry love.
George loves dogs; he's grown up with him almost his entire life. My family had German Shepherds when I was younger, so I managed to avoid that whole "fear of big dogs" thing a lot of kids at that age have. I do love big dogs (though Aussies are more "medium size"), but they can be overwhelming at times. George's parents have a Doberman who... is a big baby, but she's a BIG baby, and not very well-behaved, so while I'm not afraid of her, I am a bit intimidated, because she plays kind of rough.
This little guy will grow to be anywhere from 20-23 inches tall, though he'll be slightly longer than he is tall. So, full grown, he should be about knee-high, perhaps a little taller. Apparently they're also a wildly smart breed, so we're already planning on bringing him to obedience classes. I'm looking forward to seeing how much we can teach him. :)
