A note to those of you WAY more talented than me...

This is a note to the artist-types on my f-list.  There are a few of you who I know are wildly talented.  :)


So it's no secret that I'm trying to do some wedding planning.  And it's no secret that we're doing a lot of this ourselves -- the whole shebang is going to be very low-key and casual.  That said, we still want things to be cool and unique.  Just because it's a small wedding doesn't mean it has to be bland and unimaginative.

Ideally, I would like to commission someone to draw... something to be put on our invitations.  (We're doing the invites ourselves-- will probably upgrade to a better printer, but it's still going to be done here.)  I don't know how much I could reasonably afford, but I'm sure we could work something out.  It should probably be in b/w, just because after thirty some-odd invitations, color cartridges would be wheezing and breathing their last.  But that's just a thought.

I have no idea what I have in mind.  Tora mentioned something about chibis.  This is just something we came up with tonight, but since invites would have to go out in relatively good speed (sometime between the middle of May and the 1st of June, I think), I figured I'd post my plea NOW rather than later.

Okay, first of all?

Holyjebus, that stuff's gorgeous. Wow. Just... wow.

We were actually thinking of something a little more... I don't know... cartoony? Because it's a really low-key, casual thang we're going for. But as it turns out, a friend who's known me for a little while dropped me a line and volunteered.

But... wow. I wish I could think of something better to say than "You draw pretty." :)
