Despite the family bullshit, things are slowly coming together.

Wedding cake:  Paid
Caterer:  Called her, waiting on return call to put down deposit
Rings:  Arriving Wednesday
License:  Done
Clothes for Saturday:  Done
Centerpieces:  Not done yet, but I have the supplies!
Decorations:  I FOUND SOME!!!
Haircut:  Done and Done (both of us are far less scraggly now)

My tasks this week include fixing up the guest room and working on the centerpieces.  I need to make a list -- another list.

I also got my white-girl moustache waxed, so I'm feeling EXTRA pretty today!! XD

Hey, how painful is it to get your lip waxed? I'm thinking of getting mine done because the other method I use leaves a shadow and I'm not quite sure my makeup is cutting it. I'm going to have to get it and my chin done.

Um... it's... it stings, but only for a moment. Honestly, it wasn't so bad that I'd never do it again. And it wasn't the first time I'd had it done, though this time I asked her to do my chin as well, which I'm really glad I decided to do.

So... it hurt, but not too bad. However, you're talking to someone who got a tattoo on her ankle, finding out later that's one of the most painful places you can get one. And I'm still thinking about getting a second tattoo. So there you go.

Lucky Bunny! It hurt me like hell the only time I did it, and gave me pimples. Now I stick to waxing cream when I remove it at all.

LOL! Seriously, though, don't you HATE the upper-lip peach fuzz? SO annoying. And my tinted moisturizer always seems to want to tint the fuzz, which is omg not cool.

I'm pretty lucky, the hair on my face is almost white, and the peach fuzz is nearly non-existant. ^^; I've never had to pluck my eyebrows either. So uhh...I'm sorry, I got nothin'?

^^;;; I'm 1/4 Italian. But I'm 1/4 Polish, too, and mom is 1/2 each. But she looks a lot more Polish than Italian, so those are the genes I got.

The main course at my wedding is going to be homemade sausage and peppers and baked zitti! mmmm...

That's actually really funny, because I'm... hmm. Let's see. If I take into consideration my father (aka sperm-donor), I'm 1/2 English, 1/4 Italian, and 1/4 Polish.

I've got the Italian coloring and ... I dunno, I guess the British part of my DNA shows up with my obsession over Brit lit.

I'm 1/2 Italian, 3/8 Irish, 1/16 Polish and 1/16 Austrian but for some reason the Irish part takes the fore in content and the Italian in stamina.

That means that I can pun and verbalsnipe with great accuracy at great volume without ever stopping to breathe! AHHAAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAA!!

But I find that creme bleach works well. Also, have you considered threading? I have my eyebrows done that way. It's fantastic.

Heh. I knew it was you, even though you were anonymous. You've mentioned the threading before. I've never seen it offered around here, though. What's the process like?

No biggie. I go to the eyebrow shop, I sit in the chair and a woman with a slightly adhesive cotton thread rips out the hairs on my face. Costs $7 in NYC.

However, although I've heard of a few shops in Hoboken, I have never been able to find a place that does threading outside the city.
